Keeper’s Ale

Thanks for trying Keeper’s Ale!

Keeper’s Ale was brewed by Wylam Brewery in conjunction with Newcastle Castle as an effort to reproduce some of the flavours of medieval Newcastle. A “stock ale” is a traditional English type of beer dating back to the middle ages, and is a strong, dark, fruity ale that could be kept and aged, in contrast to the “small ale” drunk everyday by workers and even children!

Because we like you…

If you’d like to experience Newcastle’s amazing medieval history, and the best views in the city, we’d like to offer drinkers of Keeper’s Ale 10% off their admission tickets to Newcastle Castle - just enter this code when making your booking online using the button at the top of this page: KEEPALE10
