We’re Back!

Newcastle Castle reopened to the public on 22nd May 2021 and we are now taking school bookings. Schools visits will only be booked on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for the time being, when we are closed to general visitors. This is to reduce the number of people on site at any one time. If you’d like to book a visit for your group, please get in touch using the contact details below.

Please note that we have a no cancellation fees policy, so if you book a visit and it cannot go ahead for any reason, there’s nothing to pay.

Virtual School Sessions

We are also still offering virtual visits which can include both pre-recorded videos and live lessons delivered from the Castle via Zoom, Microsoft Teams or other platforms.

We can also offer a pre-recorded video tour of the Castle Keep delivered by our experienced learning staff which is accessed through a YouTube link, or a growing range of short pre-recorded video lessons.
